 The Final Word game review

Way of The Warrior -- Universal Interactive Studios

Digitized warriors and music by White Zombie highlight this one-on-one fighting game for the 3DO. Choose to compete as a ninja, australian outbacker or one of several other martial arts fighters to become the ultimate warrior

Ferrari Man
A much needed fighting game finally comes to the 3DO. However, it is only enough to hold you over until some better fighting games come out for the system. The graphics were marginal, and the gameplay was sloppy. However, their musical selection totally kicks! Unless you are a die-hard fighter, I'd save a few bucks and just buy the White Zombie music CD instead.

Dr. Otto
In it's time this wasn't a bad game, but with the coming of Super Street Fighter II Turbo and the fabulous Samurai Showdown, this game is old fish. Still, it does have great tunes and spectacular backgrounds. They could've spent a buck on some real actors or atleast some guys that looked tough. Of course, I for one don't go for all this digitized actor crap in fighting games, anyhow. Gimme more of the stuff I saw in Darkstalkers, and then we'll discuss higher review scores.

R.I.P.
Ok, Ok, the intro to this game kicks ass, the music score by White Zombie rocks, and then the game starts... Then you throw your 3DO into the trash and sue Universal Interactive Studios for a replacement because the machine has been tainted by a game that I would have been embarrased to release had I been the company! There is no excuse for a crappy game like this, ever! I really want to give this game a lower score, but the intro and music is so good, that you should see them atleast once, just don't let the game start. My recomendation is that we all forget this title and hope it fades into obscurity quickly.

The music was good; and the intro. However, what's with the choppy gameplay and poorly casted actors? And wouldn't a red belt be pretty crappy for a world-class ninja? And where's the GOOD LOOKING woman?? Pardon me for being picky, but this title had a lot of room for improvement. It's an ok fighting game if you are desperate, but personally, I'd wait until something better comes along.
