Falcon -- Spectrum Holobyte

Falcon, by Spectrum Holobyte, is a new flight simulator for play on the Turbo Grafx-16. Several different missions await players including aerial combat, bombing missions, and defensive manuevers. Players can custom arm their fighter jet for maximum deadly efficiency. A two-player simulataneous mode is available for Turbo Express owners.

Ferrari Man
Falcon is more of a delema on what type games should appear on a home system. Simply put, Falcon is a true flight simulator. No fast action, or flashy graphics, just a down and dirty simulator and unfortunatly, the Turbo lacks the ability to make it 100% accurate (ie: controls for everything; you're limited to three or four buttons, plus joypad). If your looking for a flight simulator Falcon lives up to its name. But, make sure you're actually looking for a flight simulator and not a plane game first.

????
I am not one for jet simulations, but this is an exception. The graphics are good at depicting the various enemy craft and computer readouts on your screen. With a large number of missions, this game will last a long time. Control of the plane is awsome and very much like the real thing. I really like how you can decide what weapons to take along on the mission. It's by far the best simulator I have seen for any home video game system.

R.I.P.
This is a good game, and definitely one of the best flight simulators on a console system that I've played. The only drawback is the lack of controls to manipulate your plane. The computer versions of this title use joystick and multiple keyboard commands for effective play. This just can't be made up for with a joypad and three buttons. But, if you like flight simulators, rent this one once and give it a try; it might be what you're looking for.

Salamander
This is definitely not a game. Falcon is without a doubt a full fledged flight simulator. Unfortunently, I think this title suffers because of the interface. Many computer flight simulators require the use of much of the keyboard. The Turbo Grafx has only two buttons to work with. While I think Falcon is an excellent simulator, it didn't really appeal to me.
