Soldier Blade -- Hudson Soft

Solider Blade is a roaring new shoot em' up for play on the Turbo Grafx-16. Powerful weapons and phasers help players blast through the non-stop action. Powerups can also be stored for leathal use when players need them most.

Ferrari Man
Another? That's all that comes to mind with this new shooter. After practicing a few old TG-16 shooters this one was a cake-walk. Why? It was the same! If you've never played a TG-16 shooter this is a good buy. If not, expect nothing new. Good game--but "0" for originality.

????
It's a slight improvement over all the other shooters that are almost exactly the same. The graphics aren't too bad. The gameplay was average, like the others. Music is pretty good. I don't think this will last long if you've played the others. Not too bad for a shooter.

R.I.P.
This is one tough shooter. Although it is your standard Hudson Soft forward-scrolling shooter game, it makes up for it's originality problems by sheer challenge of game play. If you like this style of game, then you should definitely check this puppy out. It's well worth the time for what you get.

Salamander
While there's nothing really wrong with Soldier Blade, there's nothing really inspiring about it either. This title is definitely a solid, fast paced shooter, but I think it suffers from its striking similarity to so many other shooters already on the market. It could have used a bit more originality.
