Checkered Flag -- Atari

Checkered Flag is a new racing simulation for the Atari Lynx. Choose from many different tracks, situations, and car colors in this realistic title. Up to six players can link up for simultaneous race excitment.

Ferrari Man
Pole Position revisited--but with five friends in the starting grid. Lots of tracks and an awesome Gentlemen start your engines opener rounded out this cart. A few more handling options would be nice, but... If you have five friends with Lynx this is a must. If not, get them.

????
You can race different styles of cars and choose whether you wish to operate an auto, four speed, or seven speed transmission. I was really impressed with this driving game. Control of the car was very realistic. The best part is if you have enough Lynx you can have a five person race.

R.I.P.
This is a good race game, specifically for its multi-player mode. Graphics are nice (the billboards are cute...) and sound is O.K. Standard Atari car handling prevails. One thing I like a lot was the large variety of tracks to choose from... Also, if you play the tournament you can set up to nine cars for fifty laps... up to six of those cars can be players.

Salamander
Gentlemen, start your engines! Offering plenty of race options, Checkered Flag is ready to take you for a ride. The graphics are decent and the sound is pretty good as well. The play is fairly standard, however; it is very similar to many other race games. Beyond the lack of originality this title is very well done and fairly solid. The true saving grace, however, is the multi-player mode--definitely worth seeing.
