Madden NFL 96 XBAND Challenge

The biggest, baddest Madden Tourney YET! Thousands of XBANDers have logged on to try and qualify for this EA SPORTS, CATAPULT ENTERTAINMENT and EGM-sponsored event.

GRAND PRIZE: Trip to Super Bowl XXX, VIP passes to the Madden Bowl at the NFL Experience, $500 spending money AND an article in Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM).

Mortal Kombat 2

This action title has plenty of staying power and a lot of fans. First two Qualifying rounds took place on December 4 and 6. Here's the remaining Qualifying Round and Finals Schedule:

Killer Instinct

Killer Instinct is definitely the game of choice on SNES. A loyal following has emerged and the play is fast and furious. Our long awaited tournament begins in December with the finals in January. Here's the scoop:

Catapult Entertainment, Inc. was formed to create premier products and services to support networked real time interactive entertainment. The XBAND video game network, in operation since November 1994, is the only head-to-head on-line gaming service for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo platforms. XBAND for the PC, a collaboration between Intel Corporation and Catapult, will be introduced in December 1995. Equity partners include Viacom Corp, Blockbuster Entertainment Group and Nissho Iwai, whose wholly-owned subsidiary, Catapult Entertainment Japan, will launch XBAND for the Super Famicom platform in November 1995.
